Travel Notes

1. Weather:

Ordos has a temperate continental climate. Spring and autumn (April-May, September-October) see temperatures of 10-20°C; bring a warm jacket. Summer (June-August) ranges from 20-30°C, with hot days and cool nights, so a light jacket is needed. Winter (November-March) is cold, from -10°C to -20°C; heavy winter clothing is essential.

2. Food:

Ordos is known for Mongolian dishes like roast lamb, hand-pulled mutton, and milk tea. The food is meat-heavy, particularly lamb. It’s rich, so consume in moderation and consider bringing digestive aids.

3. Packing Tips:

· Clothing: Dress for the season; summer needs light clothes and a jacket, winter requires warm, heavy layers.

· Other Items: Bring personal care products (toothbrush, shampoo) as some hotels may not provide them.
